If you are new to affiliate marketing you've probably heard about "keyword research." Maybe you are trying to wrap your head around the whole mystery of "finding a niche." Perhaps you are also trying to fathom the process of keyword research? The majority of us end up reading through endless reports on "the only surefire method" of finding good keywords, or we watch endless videos demonstrating exactly how we can identify a profitable niche market.

Anyone who is just getting into the world of affiliate marketing has heard terms like “keyword research” and “finding a niche.” The business of trying to understand the terms can be very confusing at first. Trying to learn the process of keyword research is even more baffling. Quite possibly you have already read a dozen different free (or paid!) reports and seen a dozen videos, all of them promising to explain everything about “the right method” of finding a profitable niche and good keywords.

At this point it’s pretty common to feel totally overwhelmed, and you’re still no closer to a useful understanding of all that information. The idea of a niche market may be one that you’re beginning to fathom; you can see why it’s important to target the right keywords for any given niche, but “how” to do it effectively is where everything falls apart. Have you got a useless collection of software that was supposed to “do all the work for you” or registered with a whole bunch of online keyword research tools? They all promise to lead you to the land of “unlimited long-tail phrases” that fulfill the “low competition-high search volume” rule.

Unfortunately, you need some understanding of niche marketing to identify valuable keywords, and developing that knowledge takes time. How many hours have you spent flipping from some keyword tool to Google and back again in search of those magic phrases that fulfill the law of low competition versus high search volume? Finding a good keyword is also about knowing which ones will bring in traffic that is on the buying end of the cycle; people who are close to completing their research and will want to purchase a product or service?

Quite honestly, this is one of the most exhausting places to be in your life as a new affiliate marketer. Hours of fruitless keyword research can eat up the time that you need to learn the other aspects of affiliate marketing, especially if you’re trying to do this in your off time. You want to build your hub pages or a WordPress site, get cracking on some articles, learn how to build backlinks — but the hours you have are all gone!

If you could count on a source of good keywords you’d be free to get on with using them. What if you had a list of fifty keywords for a specific niche market, and you knew they were properly researched? You would be free to work at the next steps — put together a set of Squidoo lenses around four or five keywords and then start learning how to write good articles.

Keep writing an article per day for a couple of weeks and you’ve made a good start, with lots of keywords left on your list. Yeah, you’re right — that is a sweet plan!

Find out how the plan works at instacashkeywords (no opt-in required!). Get free of the frustration and save your valuable time, so you can let yourself succeed with affiliate marketing.
